I can just imagine if 30 vehicles was returned last week, there are probably 6 times that amount that is still out there and yet accounted for. Even if it was just the 30 vehicles and let’s say the average cost of each vehicle is a modest sixty thousand dollars. That is a total of one hundred and eighty thousand dollars. Bandits serving time in prison for stealing items costing less than two thousand dollars. We will not rest until all these persons are flushed out of the system. We cannot condone people who wantonly collude to rob government of its revenue. We are downplaying what is a very serious occurrence.
Audley Phillip, a breach in procedures does not necessarily translate to criminality. If the vehicles were registered to private individuals after the government paid for them…. Then that’s where a crime may have been committed.
I do agree that the system is broken, but how do you arrive at the conclusion that people should go to jail?
Not justifying wrong doing where it intentionally occur but we love too much ugly in this country. Just a bunch of bad minded and jealous losers!
By the way, I do offer math classes if you are interested.
30 x 60,000 is still 1.8 mil not 180,000.00 as you assorted!
Correction to the above. Total cost of 1.8 million dollars.
Shame.
As in life those who genuinely need the “help” do not receive it!
There are Ministries, and departments that are in desperate need of transportation and to date none received or request acknowledge by MIN OF PWD!!!!
The last receipt of vehicle was a cast off from another Ministry because it was “ no longer fit for purpose”!
In other words we got sloppy seconds !!!!
How can this be right for the proper functioning of Government?
Workers need to be transported for and after their shifts.
One vehicle working 24 hrs 7 days per week cannot suffice!
Only with rotation of vehicles to share the load can we avoiding malfunction and putting our night shift workers at a disadvantage!
Come on man!!!
Make this make sense proper cents!!!
@ Biggs. You may be a good enough math tutor but you might want to consider signing up for English Language classes yourself.. You wrote “”30 times 60,000 is still 1.8 mil not 180000.00 as you assorted. Assorted??? The word is still asserted! See what happens when Satan tries to correct sin? 🤣🤣🤣
Lock them ALL to hell up, especially the car dealers! All of a sudden, Ali Baba and his forty thieves have parking lots all over the packed with cars for sale!.Something looked fishy to even the poor commuter who couldn’t half afford to purchase a new or recycled cars. Is not last week people started whispering about the major car dealers and opposition AND supporters’ ripping off this country while giving the appearance of living high on the hog. And the nerve of some of them! I’m sure they joined protest marches decrying Government’s decision to increase vehicle licensing fees recently. Name them, shame them, then lock them to hell up!!
I guess it’s a message to the government…. Figure it out
When you are a leader of a country you have to brace yourself stuff like that. This should make you stronger PM.
So they’re returning the cars… but what about accountability? Who authorized the purchases in the first place
Sending the vehicles back is one thing. Arresting and charging the criminals involved is the real flex
