POINTE XPRESS: Sweden has appointed Victoria George as its new honorary consul to Antigua and Barbuda, succeeding Sylvia O’Marde after thirteen years in the role.
Originally from Sweden and a resident of Antigua and Barbuda for fifteen years, George was formally presented with her letter of appointment by Swedish Ambassador to the Caribbean, Anders Bengtcen.
During a reception on Monday night, Ambassador Clarence Pilgrim congratulated her on her new position, highlighting her role as the primary contact for Swedish nationals in need of consular services, including passport replacements and assistance.
