Source – Real News Antigua: The Police continue to probe an aggravated robbery that reportedly took place on the sister-island recently.
Sources tell REAL News that a nurse at the Hanna Thomas Hospital telephoned the Barbuda Police Station one day last week and reported that a man had arrived at the Emergency Room with injuries.
Allegedly, the victim reported that he had been robbed and beaten by a young man and had sustained a wound to the forehead.
It is alleged that the perpetrator had robbed him of his wallet, which contained his government-issued IDs and his debit card.
The victim was seen by doctors, determined to be stable, and treated and discharged.
An initial search was carried out for the alleged offender but he was not found.

@ Hmmmmmmmm?
FYI
Barbudains are far from being Saints; but Barbuda does not have record of robbing and injuring. Robbery and break in are at epidemic levels in Antigua.
The laidback style of the Barbudans are become a thing of the past.
Our so called Caribbean brothers and sisters are pouring into Barbuda with the antisocial behavior that is prevalent in Antigua but until now a scent in Barbuda.
The real danger is that, the offenders and perpetrators can jump in a ferry back to Antigua where they can hide in plainsight.
There are approximately 1,600 Barbudans of which less than 200 are between the ages of 12 and 25 years of age living in around Codrington.
This age group know each other; so the victim would be likely to know his robber, unless he was wearing a mask ; if the robber is a Barbudan.
Being a police on Barbuda is like being on Permanent Vacation; except when they are called in by PLH.
God knows Barbudabs have their problems, which they don’t readily admit too; and they are far from being saints, but it’s unlikely the robber is a Barbudan.
I thought plenty jobs in Barbuda so what is the need to rob? This behaviour is in their genes. They left Antigua and take them dutty thieving ways to Barbuda. Barbuda, you are being developed. Or so Gaston says.
From the description given by the victim, did the police stake out the dock to check for someone fitting the description leaving the island and also publish a description of the person in small population Barbuda?
