Vehicles will be towed if motorists violate traffic laws during Carnival.

Traffic authorities are issuing important warnings for drivers during the Carnival period. They urge everyone to follow these guidelines to ensure road safety and smooth parade operations:

  1. Avoid Parking Along Parade Routes: To prevent disruptions, do not park vehicles on or near parade routes.
  2. Do Not Remove Roadblocks: These are set up to manage traffic flow effectively. Tampering with them could hinder the parade and traffic movement.
  3. Adhere to Traffic Laws: Non-compliance can result in vehicles being towed.
  4. Drive Responsibly: Always be aware of and follow traffic signs and regulations to ensure safety and order during the Carnival.

Law enforcement is on alert, emphasizing the importance of adhering to these rules for a safe and enjoyable Carnival experience.

  1. “Law enforcement is on alert …”

Wouldn’t it be great for the country if the criminals and gunmen were pursued with the same VIGOUR and ALERTNESS as the motorists?

Authorities going after the “low hanging fruit” as per usual.

  5. Antigua and Barbuda Traffic department is understaffed, they have no clue how to plan and direct traffic , the city is blocked off to accommodate the parade , then it leaves the outer exits and entrances on their own merits , there’s no police to help with directing traffic congestion , where motorist force their way between others .
Suggestion : Place officers at strategic locations …
    1. Harney motors junction .
    2. Friars Hill woods area.
    3. Stapleton lane area and the two roundabouts close to Government house.
    4. Old Pharam road stop light .
Just to name a few .
We are in a modern era and Antigua isn’t slow anymore there’s more vehicles today than before . Come up with an action plan now traffic CHIEF or resign , please don’t have us in traffic for more than two hours like T-shirt mas …..
