TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF AIRPORT AERODROMES DUE TO TROPICAL STORM JERRY
The Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority (ABAA) wishes to inform the public that, effective 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 9th, both the VC Bird International Airport and the Barbuda International Airport aerodromes were closed due to the impending passage of Tropical Storm Jerry.
Following guidance from the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services, a subsequent update will be provided regarding the reopening of the aerodromes and the resumption of normal flight operations.
We strongly encourage all members of the public to follow the instructions issued by the National Office of Disaster Services and to take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety during the storm.
