The Antigua and Barbuda Airports Authority (ABAA) has issued an advisory to travelers and airport users regarding ongoing water line repairs at VC Bird International Airport.
The Maintenance Department is currently carrying out essential water main repairs west of the Arrivals Hall exit along the terminal curbside. Officials have warned that the work may temporarily affect pedestrian and traffic flow in the area.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise caution and follow posted signage and instructions from airport personnel to ensure safety.
The ABAA apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for their patience as repairs are carried out efficiently and safely.

The airport did not specify how long the repairs are expected to take.

This is not the stone age, a fire system is installed at the airport as per international standards, there should have been a temporary bypass water line put in place or a water trailer tanker with pump until the repair is carried out, poor people is always imprisoned by impoverished ideas, they are in a system in APUA where the manager is just the king, please send your workmen on utility convention abroad to show the latest tools and material, some company would use inflatable pneumatic line to block the leak and bypass and continue water to the customers, well! Well! The PLM administration formed the APUA and ALP has not advanced it from it’s colonial status up to this day.
It need new people to inject ideas into APUA, in the 1970’s when PLM formed the APUA they brought in some men from abroad to modernize the company and after ALP won the 1976 election, every thing these men did on the electricity lines were leaved to rotten because the men that was put in place at APUA had no idea about those things, there was a buck and boost transformer on the high voltage line on the way to half moon bay to boost the low voltage across the area there, which was disconnected by the merry non technical Apua bird men at the time and leave to rot, because those ideas were bursting their brains.
The APUA should send it’s workers and not the engineers to utility conventions abroad to update their knowledge.
