Antigua and Barbuda’s Growing List of Missing Persons Raises Alarm

Families in Antigua and Barbuda continue to grapple with the heartache of missing loved ones, as more than 100 individuals have disappeared without a trace. Law enforcement officials remain deeply concerned about the growing trend, urging the public to come forward with any information.

Kyle Peters

Among the missing is Kyle Peters, last seen at his Vaughans Estate home, and Kevin Millet, whose burnt car was found near PW Works Dam in March 2023.

Hyacinth-Gage

Noah Hurst vanished in May 2023 after receiving a call, while Kevon Bailey, son of Agriculture Director Gregory Bailey, disappeared in August 2022.

Elderly Hilda Gage was last seen at Mount St. John’s Medical Centre in May 2019.

Kevin Millet

Other unresolved cases include tourist Roman Musabekov, who disappeared in 2017, and Vinia James, whose ex-boyfriend was charged with her murder but later acquitted due to lack of evidence. LGBTQ+ advocate Oran ‘Passo’ David vanished in January 2024, his burnt vehicle later discovered. The latest case involves Keon Richards, last seen at his workplace in February 2024.

The police continue to urge residents: “If you know something, say something.” Each missing person represents more than a statistic—they are cherished family members, and their absence leaves lasting pain. The call for justice and closure grows louder. Let us not forget their names.

  1. So every other week a new person is need to the list?.. What is being done to locate these people.. Are they being taken by the same people.. Are they being trafficked?? And why is it only young people?

  2. Why are we not searching for our people… We need to step up as a community or even a country because we know de police wouldn’t

  3. Bob Marley sang:
You don’t know who to trust
Your worst enemy could be your best friend
And your best friend your worst enemy
Some will eat and drink with you
Then behind them su-su ‘pon you
Only your friend know your secrets
So only he could reveal it..

I urge us all to be ALERT! Antigua is too small for these kinds of things… and let us begin to think outside the box… with lots of unprotected lands, and borders, even and economics zone that not even the police has access to, how do we conteract this? What seems to be becoming the order of the days, months, and years is our resignation to the non closure of these happenings… so it begs the question.. which one of us will go missing next??

  4. There are persons missing from the list. There were about 3 young men who went sailing a few years ago. I think they were all in their twenties.

  5. A calypsonian has a song that says the devil has a hand in running de land hope that is not what is happening here, ah hope not

  6. @Rhea,
Did you join the search parties at any point? The government and the police can’t solve problems like these if the citizens don’t speak up. This is a community challenge. Everyone has to be involved.
People need to be more vigilant. In some neighborhoods, people don’t even know the names of the people living beside them. I experience that all the time when I visit. Asking someone for the person I’m attempting to locate, I hardly ever get a positive ressult.. And they have been neighbors for over six years in some cases. Be your neighbor’s keeper.

  7. I got a call to meet a man somewhere in town in the late night promising money. He had an African tongue. I didn’t go. How many of our young men and women have gone to these places? How many have answered to the call? Wake up people. Something real funny about this and strange and mysterious

  8. Sad to see and will be sad to say….. I don’t understand why so many people are going missing. I pray that this marks the end of another missing person case.
