Murder suspect Delano Forbes pleaded not guilty to escaping lawful custody when he came before a magistrate today.
The 23-year-old was recaptured by police last Friday after being on the run for over four weeks.
On February 12 officers said he escaped their custody while assisting them during an evidence gathering operation in Swetes.
The suspect is scheduled to return to court on May 30 for trial on the escape charge.
Before his escape, Forbes was charged with the murder of three people and police alleged he drained and drank the blood of his victims.

He quite right to plead not guilty, he was set free, didn’t have to put much effort into it to call it an escape… what a thing
If this guy is found guilty, he must hang by the neck until dead, and it should be a public hanging. Enough is enough.
Simple minded people, we are talking about human life. If this man is guilty then he needs to face the law but for us to continue speaking on not facts show us how simple minded we are. While you worry about this man an a small reward you current government is robbing you’ll blind. Just saying.
