UWI Global Campus Guild Sets Bold Agenda for 2025–2026
The newly elected Students’ Guild leaders of the UWI Global Campus in Antigua and Barbuda are rolling out plans to improve academic support and student engagement for the 2025–2026 academic year.
Guild President Dlia Evans will focus on academic development, launching monthly workshops on writing, research, and publishing, alongside a “Postgrad Career Connect” series on job readiness and internships. She also plans quarterly networking mixers to build inter-campus ties.

Vice President Shakeem Gomes aims to boost student life through fundraisers, social events, and financial aid initiatives. He stressed the importance of fostering connection in a virtual learning space, ensuring students feel supported and heard.
Both leaders, who balance work and study themselves, acknowledged the challenges many students face and praised the campus’s flexible payment options. They pledged to advocate for inclusivity, connectivity, and academic success, urging prospective students to apply online to take advantage of the Global Campus’s flexible model.
