Visa Restrictions on African, Cuban, and Grenadan Government Officials Involved in the Cuban Regime’s Coercive Forced Labor Export Scheme
oday, the Department of State took steps to impose visa restrictions on African, Cuban, and Grenadan government officials, and their family members, for their complicity in the Cuban regime’s medical mission scheme in which medical professionals are ‘rented’ by other countries at high prices and most of the revenue is kept by the Cuban authorities.
This scheme enriches the corrupt Cuban regime while depriving the Cuban people of essential medical care.
The United States continues to engage governments, and will take action as needed, to bring an end to such forced labor. We urge governments to pay the doctors directly for their services, not the regime slave masters.
The United States aims to support the Cuban people in their pursuit of freedom and dignity and promote accountability for those who perpetuate their exploitation.
We call on all nations that support democracy and human rights to join us in this effort to confront the Cuban regime’s abuses and stand with the Cuban people.

Whether or not the medical personnel are paid directly or through the Cuban Government, the medical brigade are still obligated in paying certain sums of their monthly salary to the Cuban Government. The Cuban Government trains all of their citizens for free and part of the arrangement and agreement is that when they begin to work, they must hand over certain percentage of their salary to the government. So whilst some governments have changed the modalities as a result of US pressures, the outcome is still the same. The Grenadian Government would simply do what other Caribbean governments have done and that is pay all salaries to the medical staff and leave it to them to pay their governments. Different method…..same outcome.
America is going to tighten the blockage on Cuba this fascist regime that is headed by Trump is not letting anyone stop them. And they want no one to have any trade with Cuba of any kind
The Cuban Medical Team has help many Caribbean countries with quality health care. Who the hell do they think they are? It is time for us to boycott American. They don’t help us with anything anymore anyways and they support the oppressive Israeli government against the Palestinian people.

Cuba can do freely commerce with over 150 countries in the world…Can you tell me which Caribbean island can’t do trade with Cuba today? All of them. All Countries can trade with Cuba. You can travel to Cuba without restriction, but guest What. Can you do business in Cuba same way Cuban can do business in Antigua?

Caricom take heed and support Grenada and do not leave your Caricom brothers alone. An attack on one should be seen as an attack on ALL of us. They will use the politics of Divide and Rule.
