SOURCE: LOOP News – A 57-year-old woman is the latest road fatality on the US Virgin Islands.
According to police, Anita Balani was a backseat passenger of a car driven by a 59 year-old man on Sunday morning.
The driver fell asleep and crashed into a pole on Lionel Berry Drive, Nadal Grocery.
Balani was rushed to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital where she died while receiving treatment.
The driver and another passenger received minor injuries.
