Students from the Urlings Primary School have made a donation to the Oncology Unit at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre in support of cancer care.
Members of the school’s Student Council visited the hospital on Wednesday to hand over the contribution, which was raised through Breast Cancer Awareness activities held earlier this term.
Oncology Nurse Lisian Thomas thanked the students, saying their donation would directly benefit patients undergoing treatment.
School officials said the initiative forms part of Urlings Primary’s wider effort to teach compassion, responsibility and community service through student-led projects.
