I always say if students are failing in class on an ongoing basis, it’s the teacher’s fault. The teaching methods being used are not conducive to learning.

Mi understand your point but your analogies are not quite correct. If students are routinely failing a difficult subject like Math (as they do all over the world), is it the teacher or is it the Math or is it a mismatch between the students and the level of Math each is expected to learn or is it that the educational theories the teachers asked to use have not yet cracked the code on how best to get average students to learn Math or is it that the teachers know perfectly well how to assist the students but there is a lack of administrative support, equipment, resources etc.(e.g. need smaller student to teacher ratios, more teachers, more one on one time, more classrooms, more funding for relevant technologies and more instructor freedom to pursue unconventional approaches)?
A proper analysis must be carried out before assigning blame blindly.
In the case of the UPP, there seems to be a mismatch between the dreams, aspirations and direction the behind the scenes leaders have in mind and those of the candidates they select and even those of the general public. They need to find a way for all three to align. Perhaps they need to modify their approach to better align with the needs of the public instead of demanding that the public believe and follow whatever they say. On the other hand, if they strongly believe that their vision is what is best for the public then they need to do better at convincing the public and their candidates of that.

And as if we thought things were not bad enough, Chairman Isaac’s outing on Nikki Phoenix podcast last night just added more fuel to the fire. In fact, she might have driven the final nail in the UPP coffin.
She lied, she was arrogant, she was defensive, she was accusing, she lied some more. Whatever she thought she was going to achieve with her appearance did not make it.
That young man was one of the UPP’s Gold Star members. Gisele has her spies and spoilers in that branch and they tried very hard to drive Richard Lewis crazy. You can almost say that winning his seat saved him since he did not have to be so involved in the branch anymore.
UPP is having a Bake and Brew or whatever girls night out event they are having. The Women’s Forum (new name for POWA) has overtaken the UPP and politics has given way to the girls, cooking and baking, and having a good time.
With Benjamin’s resignation, it is time to start asking Baldwin Spencer some serious questions.

Look, many of us UPP supporters were very upset just like the Honourable Chevaughn Benjamin, when Richard Lewis wasn’t elected as leader of the opposition; especially after his great surge in popularity amongst the members and the public in how easily he dealt with Gaston Browne inside and outside of Parliament.
Yes, the Honourable Richard Lewis’ chance to lead the UPP now seems like a missed opportunity.
However, when all is said and done, I can’t lay all the blame on the ABLP and Gaston Browne (as much as I’d like to 😁) this time around.

Brix I don’t want to, but I feel for you. You will be the last man standing in the UPP, when they close the door. But don’t forget to turn out the light. There is only one way for the UPP at this point. And that is down. if you guys had a philosophy that would hold you together than their would be a change. But since there is none, the characters that try to run the party their way or the highway, EGOES, will let the party collapse. And that is the truth. No amount of name calling towards the ABLP or the Prime Minister will help you guys now. It’s all downwards. And really that will be the saddest day in the history of Antigua and Barbuda, and Gaston Browne would not even be able to rejoice over it. He too would be sad. Cause we need an opposition. Not just any opposition. A good opposition. And since the present opposition is so bad. There is nothing left for them to do but to fold up. Richard will start his own party.
