Police Continues Probe in Recent Homicide
26yrs-old Kelly Friday of Bolans is currently in police custody as the police continue with their probe into the country’s recent homicide.
It is alleged the suspect and 50yrs old Selwyn Mannix of Friars Hill Road were involved in an altercation at Point Fisheries Wharf around 5:15 pm on Saturday 11th September.
It is further alleged the suspect armed himself with a sharp object, which he used to inflict several stab wounds to the upper body of Mannix.
Both men were transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center; however, Mannix was later pronounced dead around 5:42 pm by a medical doctor.
Friday was treated for injuries he apparently sustained to his left leg and hand. He was subsequently discharged in the custody of the police.
