Here is a summary of the ongoing search and rescue activities for today, Wednesday 4th December 2024 at 9:30 am.
Two vessels, a fisheries vessel and a local vessel, are being mobilized to search south of the island.
A vessel from PLH has already conducted a search east of the island on Monday.
Rescue Anguilla went airborne at 7:50 am to assist in the search.
The Antigua and Barbuda Defense Force aircraft is scheduled to be deployed between 9:00 am and 9:30 am.
The search areas include regions between St. Kitts, Saba, St. Barthelemy, Anguilla, and St. Martin, with coordination involving the Anguilla authorities and the Coast Guard.
These collective efforts aim to cover a wide area in hopes of locating any sign of those missing. Continued communication and coordination between all parties involved are crucial in maximizing the effectiveness of the search operations.
