UPDATE: Government Pledges Assistance to Johnson’s Fire Victims Under HAPI Programme
Works Minister Maria Browne visited the victims of Monday’s devastating fire on Tuesday, assuring them of the government’s commitment to assisting with their rebuilding efforts.
The government has pledged support through the Housing and People’s Initiative (HAPI) programme, which aims to provide aid to affected families in restoring their homes.
Minister Browne expressed sympathy for those impacted and reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to helping residents recover from such tragedies.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire, which destroyed two homes on Monday. Fire officials first received reports of the blaze at approximately 11:23 AM and responded swiftly, but despite their efforts, both structures were lost.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
