Union of teachers president resigns

President of the Antigua and Barbuda Union of Teachers Kimdale Mackellar has resigned with immediate effect.

 

He replaced Ashworth Azille in October 2020.

 

Reasons for his resignation were not made public.

 

Speculation is rife that it is related to mandatory vaccination measures imposed on teachers.

You showed courage and bravery when you made known your position on the government’s mandatory vaccination policy even though I am sure you knew that it would have cost you your position. Hold your head HIGH, you have nothing to regret. God has bigger and better things in store for you. May God keep you and your family safe in every way.

  4. The ALP Party will lose the election when the people of this country see or can identify a better leader. And right now there isn’t one who can be identified.
