UK Electronic Travel Authorization for Antigua and Barbuda Nationals Takes Effect Today

The Government of Antigua and Barbuda has issued an important advisory regarding new immigration protocols for nationals traveling to the United Kingdom.

Starting January 8, 2025, Antigua and Barbuda passport holders will require an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter the UK for stays under six months.

The ETA system marks the UK’s transition to a fully digitized immigration process, designed to streamline border controls and enhance security.

Applications for ETAs will open on November 27, 2024, for eligible non-European nationals.

The advisory emphasizes the importance of understanding the eligibility requirements and completing the application process through the official UK Government website.

This new policy aligns with a broader rollout of the ETA system, which will also apply to European nationals starting April 2, 2025.

For further details, travelers are encouraged to visit the UK Government’s official portal or contact Antigua and Barbuda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
