PM BROWNE SAID: Two 20 ton trucks and an excavator purchased for the Min Agriculture, to assist farmers to construct ponds and dams on their farms, as well as, preparation of sub-base for farm roads.

Solar lights will also be installed on farms to facilitate night work.

  1. This is an excellent initiative and I hope that we will begin to see the effects of them very soon on the various farms around the island. I would further appeal to the government to make pvc pipes, water hoses and all other farm equipment available to the farmers duty free as a means of helping the farmers make more meaningful impact in our food production. I would also suggest that we appoint liaison officers and consign them to specific farms and request of them monthly feedback on the progress of each farm. Our food security is paramount. And by the way…..REDUCE REUSE RECYCLE – ANTIGUA & BARBUDA BEAUTY IS OUR DUTY.
