Two Suspects in Custody After Robbery and Stabbing in Perry Bay
Two men are in police custody following a reported robbery and stabbing incident in the Perry Bay area on Monday morning.
According to police, the suspects allegedly attacked a man from Bolans while he was walking through Tinning Village at around 9:45 a.m.
The assailants are said to have robbed him of a grey knapsack containing a mobile phone and EC$100.
During the encounter, an altercation ensued, and the victim was stabbed.
He is currently receiving medical treatment.
Law enforcement officers later confronted the suspects, resulting in one of them—identified as Tristan Armstrong—being shot twice. He is also receiving medical care.
Both men have since been apprehended, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.

@Man From Point: Antigua is far safer when compared to St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, The Turks and Caicos, The Bahamas and several others. The crime rates on all the islands, which are easy to find online, speak for themselves.

You should know only too well that, regrettably, Antigua and Barbuda houses too many low-life scum bags. That notwithstanding, IT IS A FACT that Antigua and Barbuda is comparatively safe, despite the treacherous, diabolical efforts of some to render it dangerous.

In most instances, CRIME STATS are manipulated and unless, it’s a very serious crime, they usually go unreported or are not used, in the calculation of the [statistic].
These perpetrators must be charged with not just robbery, but attempted murder and any other applicable charges. Stop playing with these STREET PUNKS, they’ll destroy the communities with little regard and for BRAGGING RIGHTS.

@Ras Smood: Facts are facts my friend but I do agree law enforcement and the justice system could be doing more in Antigua. Unfortunately, the entire region is on fire and we all know what is fueling it.
