Shawn Ramnarine and Garvin Gill were convicted of taking items worth $3,760, including an irrigation line, pesticides, coconut seedlings, and pawpaw. The theft occurred on March 5, with the victims’ brother witnessing the crime.
Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel sentenced Ramnarine to 18 months in prison, noting his prior theft convictions. Gill received a 9-month sentence.
Ramnarine also faces new charges for allegedly stealing a Toyota RAV4 worth $10,000 in August 2024. He was remanded until June 18, while co-defendant Kareem Jarvis was granted bail.
