Two Men Arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Tuesday, 11th November, 2025

Police have arrested two men for unlawful possession of cannabis, following the execution of two search warrants at a residence in Cedar Valley Gardens and a business place on Upper Fort Road.

Around 3:25 p.m. on Monday, 10th November 2025, officers attached to the Narcotics Department and the K-9 Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Cedar Valley Gardens. During the search, the police seized a substantial amount of EC and US currency.

A second search was carried out at a business place on Upper Fort Road, where officers discovered a total of 2 pounds and 3 ounces of cannabis. The illegal substance was seized and taken to Police Headquarters.

Two male suspects were arrested and taken into custody pending further investigations. Charges are expected to follow.

  1. Haven’t you guys notice that the police can’t solve murders or other crimes? But once it drugs they can close their eyes and solve that, because money involve , these police are trying to get the cash from this lucrative trade.
