JAMAICA GLEANER: Two Jamaican tourism marketing specialists have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to the development of tourism in Antigua and Barbuda.

They are Noel Mignott, formerly deputy director of tourism for the Jamaica Tourist Board and president of the PM Marketing Group in New York, and Alison Ross, formerly senior vice-president of the PM Marketing Group. They were both presented with excellence awards for their long-standing commitment to promoting Antigua and Barbuda, by Charles Fernandez, minister of tourism, civil aviation and investment.

The ceremony took place recently and recognised travel professionals, media partners and community leaders who have made significant contributions to the destination’s growth and success.

“Our success is driven by the passion, dedication and hard work of these professionals who consistently go above and beyond in advocating for Antigua and Barbuda,” Fernandez stated at the presentation.

After receiving the award, Mignott told The Sunday Gleaner, “It has been an honour, privilege, and joy for Alison, me, and the PM Group team to represent Antigua and Barbuda for nearly two decades. We’ve proudly witnessed the destination’s growth, emerging as a premier choice for luxury travellers while maintaining its authentic Caribbean charm.”

Other distinguished travel partners attending the ceremony included Antigua and Barbuda’s director of tourism Colin James; Brenda O’Neale, travel advisor and chair of the Antigua & Barbuda Travel Agent Advisory Board; Lila Nicholas, travel advisor and chair of the Professional Travel Agents of North America National Advisory Board; Brenda Cole, travel advisor and president of PATANA; Corrine Mutarelli, travel advisor and past president of the Alliance of Westchester Travel Agencies; and Ralph Vasami, president of Kiwanis Yonkers and former president of the New York American Society of Travel Advisors.
