Police are investigating the circumstances behind a traffic collision that left a man and woman nursing injuries at the hospital.
The crash occurred near the John I the Fifth racetrack on All Saints Road minutes after 3 pm Monday.
Police reported the incident involved a Black Honda Stepwagon van, being driven by the woman and a Black Nissan Frontier pickup, which the man was driving.
Both vehicles were reportedly travelling east to west when the collision occurred.
Corporal Leon George from the Police Traffic Department told state media the driver of the pickup claimed his tire blew out.
“As a result, the vehicle, the black Stepwagon, which was behind collided into the rear of the pickup” the officer reported.
Corporal George added both drivers complained of pains about the body before they were taken to the hospital.
