The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John’s Medical Center (MSJMC) has revealed no new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 case in Antigua and Barbuda as of Saturday 12th December 2020 at 6pm.
Subsequent to the publication of the dashboard on Saturday 12th December 2020 with the cut off time of 6pm, eighty-six samples were processed at the Mount St. John’s Medical Center which increased the pending results from zero to eighty-six.
Of the eighty-six samples processed by MSJMC, eighty-five were negative and one repeat positive. The results are reflected in the total samples taken and total tested columns of the dashboard.
Meanwhile, a forty-six-year-old female who was previously confirmed with COVID-19 died at MSJMC today, December 13, 2020.
Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda remains at one hundred and forty-eight (148); which is inclusive of six (6) active cases.
The dashboard has been updated to reflect the recent death and will be further updated when information for December 14th 2020 is received.

Outbreak on the Sandals Grenada property resulting in apparently 26 cases and rising…families of workers infected.
Reports of no mask wearing on property, staff being hugged up for photos etc.
Grenada has strong arrival & follow-up testing protocols but for some crazy reason, all-inclusives (3) negotiated exemption.
Grenada govt. has canceled all gatherings, public events and asked people wherever possible to stay at home for next few weeks (Christmas).
Stand-by Antigua… This situation could happen to any of us.
PLEASE EVERY HOSPITALITY WORKER PROTECT YOUR LOVED ONES…AT WORK WEAR YOUR MASK CORRECTLY, MAINTAIN 6′ DISTANCE, WASH YOUR HANDS AT LEAST 2x p hour & definitely after every guest interaction.
RETURNING NATIONALS DO NOT POSE THE GREATEST RISK!
Most returning nationals are MORE cautious and make sure they get tested and be safe for the simple fact that they KNOW they will be around their families and want to keep their families safe .
Also returning nationals lose very little if their trips are canceled. Because they would have been staying with relatives or using a relative vehicle to get around so they aren’t losing hotel and car rental and tours cancellation fee as a tourist would, so if they are testing positive they will cancel their trip.
Tourist on the other hand will lose airline tickets and other fees so if they a positive they will still come, even tho they are positive . Especially if they don’t feel sick
At that time they put everyone they meet at risk and those hotel and taxi drivers take it home to their families.
Returning nationals also so they can be easily pointed out if they were to come here and give it so someone.
For example Jane come
From Miami and stays with a cousin in villa and the cousin gets it. Then it may be obvious it’s Jane .. so if Jane is positive when she takes the test to come here the. She won’t come cause everyone will know it’s her, but a tourist in a hotel will have no deterrent cause. I one can directly relate anyone tourist to any employee … so the tourist won’t care
TOURIST ARE THE BIGGEST RISK
All of this plus the fact there are at least 100x as many tourists arriving on a daily basis as returning nationals
“Stay Alert ” why bother yourself the Government says it’s mostly returning or visiting Nationals is black death and would bring it back to the community and the whites are bearer’s of good will. . I’m so so tired of repeating how negligent the protocols are .
They are confusing and illogical and arbitrarily applied

Do you even understand the point trying to be made in the comments section or there’s a red glare in your eyes because that’s the only color that you can see . The only point trying to be made is the protocols in place is not truly keeping us safe HELLO !!
If I did not see it myself I would not believe it. My neighbour came on vacation as she always does. Was suppossed to be in quarantine and everyday she had visitors. Friends and family that came to see her, hugs and kisses without masks. All because I believe she had brought some goodies for some people as well. Just incase she had Covid she would have spread it to all of them that came to visit her and huged her without wearing masks. So yes returning and Antiguans coming home are the highes risks because they interact with friends and family and because they have a negative PCR test they think they do not have Covid. Which they could have contracted on their way to Antigua.
