Tuesday break-in and vandalism of Sir Novelle Richards Academy forces early dismissal of students on Wednesday

Just one day after the Greenbay Primary was discovered robbed, the Sir Novelle Richards Academy was vandalized, forcing the school’s administration to dismiss students for the day.

Pupils were sent home early on Wednesday, September 14, after they showed up and found sections of the education facility defaced by spray paint.

REAL News learned that a female security officer made a report to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) that the glass door to the staff room had been broken and paint had been splashed about the school.

Reportedly, when the woman showed up for her shift at about 11:04 p.m. the night before, she observed that the door was broken and the room ransacked.

The intruders reportedly had used a hard object to break the glass and enter the room, where they damaged two computer monitors.

The perpetrators also used what appeared to be black spray paint on the lower sections of the eastern, northern and southern wings of the school.

Police officers carried out a search for any suspicious persons, but without success.

This offence reportedly occurred sometime between 3 p.m., after school was dismissed and before the security officer went on duty.

The break-in and theft of food and sporting items from the Greenbay Primary School took place overnight when there was no security on those premises, as well. (REAL NEWS)

  1. Unfortunately, no food or sporting items were stolen from Greenbay Primary but instead petty cash amounting to $175 was taken.

  2. Will someone please report the truth. In the item detailing the Green bay School break in and theft, it was reported that food and sporting items were stolen. Now in this item it is being reported that no food nor sporting items were stolen from that location, but $175.00 was taken.
Did the writer of the second article mean to report that the theft of the $175.00 was taken from the second school to have been broken into? The Sir Novelle Richards Academy?
What was fortunate about that. The door has to be replaced; two computers need to be replaced; the rooms that had been defaced with paint has to be repainted; students are loosing valuable time for these infrastructional repairs and replacements to be done.
I would like to suggest that we think outside of the box and put inplace measures to make it more difficult for thieves to break into our educational facilities. I do have some ideas but I will not detail them here since that will also be telling the thieves. I will find a way to give my ideas to the appropriate people.
