The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for Antigua and Barbuda, noting storm-force winds are possible from Tropical Storm Philippe.
The cyclone is south-east of the Leeward Islands.
The new advisory will be reflected in the 11am bulletin from the National Hurricane Centre and is an intensification from the tropical cyclone alert which has been in effect since last week.
Residents are urged to be on alert as the forecast track remains uncertain.
