In response to the threat posed by Tropical Storm Philippe, the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center (SLBMC) has taken precautionary measures by temporarily suspending its visitor policy.
Starting at 4 p.m. today, no visitors will be allowed access to the hospital until the Tropical Storm Watch is lifted.
However, all essential areas of the hospital, including inpatient services and the Emergency Room, will continue to operate as usual.
The SLBMC advises against venturing out in stormy conditions unless it is an emergency, in which case individuals should dial 911 for assistance.
