0

NHC – The National Hurricane Center in Miami, FL, is monitoring weather conditions across the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico.

Central Tropical Atlantic (Formation Chances: 20% in 48 hours, 40% in 7 days):

Disorganized showers and thunderstorms in the central tropical Atlantic stem from a low-pressure trough about 600 miles west-southwest of Cabo Verde Islands.

Conditions suggest gradual development, with a tropical depression possible in several days.

Moving westward or west-northwest at approximately 10 mph, there’s a 20% chance of formation within 48 hours and 40% within 7 days.

Eastern Tropical Atlantic (Formation Chances: 10% in 48 hours, 30% in 7 days):

A tropical wave off Africa’s coast brings widespread, disorderly showers and thunderstorms.

Expected to shift west-northwest at 15 mph, a low-pressure area may emerge near or just west of Cabo Verde Islands within days.

Limited development chances exist within 48 hours (10%) and 7 days (30%), though conditions may worsen by early next week.
