NHC – The National Hurricane Center is closely monitoring a disturbance (AL94) in the Eastern Tropical Atlantic.

While the surface circulation remains broad, shower and thunderstorm activity have been on the rise, located southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands.

Over the next few days, environmental conditions are expected to become more favorable for development.

There is a medium chance of formation within 48 hours and a high chance of formation over the next seven days.

A tropical depression is likely to form in the early to middle part of next week as the system moves westward or west-northwestward across the central and western tropical Atlantic.
