Health Officials have named a new Ophthalmologist for Antigua and Barbuda after signing a contract on Wednesday with Trinidad Eye Hospital.
The partnership, which was signed and sealed at the Office of the Prime Minister, will see renowned Caribbean Ophthalmologist, Dr Ronnie Bhola of Trinidad and Tobago performing surgeries at the Mount St John Medical Center for one week every month beginning on October 10th, which is World Sight Day.
The signing ceremony was attended by a number of dignitaries including Health Minister-Molwyn Joseph, Permanent Secretary Joan Carrot, Chief Medical Officer-Dr Rhonda Sealey Thomas, Dr Ronnie Bhola, Chairman of Mount St John Hospital Sean Cenac and Chairman of the Medical Benefits Scheme Osbert Frederick.
