We wish to extend our sincere apologies to Ms. Kaveeta Persad, Attorney-at-Law and Partner at Fitzwilliam, Stone, Furness-Smith & Morgan, in relation to a recent story published by our media house concerning another individual, Ms. Kavita Crystal Persad.
Regrettably, we mistakenly used a photograph of Ms. Kaveeta Persad in that article. We acknowledge that Ms. Kaveeta Persad is not connected in any way to the subject of the article and that the use of her image was entirely erroneous.
We have taken immediate steps to remove the photograph from all versions of the story and wish to make it unequivocally clear that Ms. Kaveeta Persad is not associated with the content of the article in question.
We unreservedly retract the image used, apologise for the distress caused, and sincerely regret the error. We assure Ms. Persad and the public that this mistake does not reflect our editorial standards, and we are reviewing our procedures to prevent such incidents in the future.
