DR KEITH ROWLEY WILL RESIGN BEFORE TERM ENDS

In a shocking turn of events!!

In a surprising turn of events, Dr. Keith Rowley, the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, has announced his intention to step down before the conclusion of the current legal term. The announcement, made earlier today, confirms that Dr. Rowley will not be seeking re-election.

Speaking candidly, the Prime Minister stated that his decision was influenced by personal considerations and a desire to allow fresh leadership to emerge within the ruling party.

While he did not specify the exact timeline for his departure, Dr. Rowley emphasized his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and continued governance for the country.

This announcement marks the end of an era for the People’s National Movement (PNM), which Dr. Rowley has led for nearly a decade. His tenure has been characterized by significant economic challenges, bold policy decisions, and a steadfast approach to governance.

As political analysts and citizens alike digest this monumental news, attention will undoubtedly turn to potential successors within the party and the broader implications for the nation’s political landscape.

More updates are expected as Dr. Rowley outlines his plans in the coming weeks.

  1. It will be a wonderful day when each of our countries within the CARICOM space can become a Republic and can mske adjustments to their constitution. The commonwealth still adheres to the Westminister style of parliament and as such leaders are restricted to 2 terms. Each country should be able to determine what’s best for them. The practice of getting rid of programmes that will benefit the people because a new administration is in place because of a general election must cease. There must be a way of preventing that from happening.

  2. The crime situation in Trinidad & Tobago must have weighed heavily on the mind of Dr. Keith Rowley after admitting and conceding that the crime and murder rate was regrettably out of hand, hence the need for the imposition of an island wide State of Emergency in the country. He clearly saw the writing on the wall and wanted to step aside if his party is to stand any chance in the upcoming general elections. Glad to see a politician taking responsibility for the negative situation in their country.

  3. This will never happen in Antigua, them man a dead in a power, the free government food and cars hard for the politicians to give up.

  4. It’s people with the mentality and intellectual capacity like Eldread that cause many of to think and act the way we do thereby aiding and betting those who’d rather keep us forever servile and ignorant. Then when, as is happening in T & T at the moment, an indifferent and cynical society turns on itself and start to cannibalize its own, others sit back, snug and smug, and applaud “a politician for taking responsibility for the negative situation in their (sic) country.” What a world!

  5. For a while there I thought it was Gaston Browne. But then Gaston so greedy and love power that he will probably die in office.

  6. When it’s good the politicians want the praise when it’s bad they cast blame. What a world we have with leaders who are reluctant to admit there failures that a country will improve.

  7. MOST LAUDABLE: …MAN OF REPUTATIONAL PRINCIPLE…?

Seemingly, without: (a) ‘…Getting angry: or (b) …Unnecessarily rowdy,’ Dr. Keith Rowley,’ is leaving the stage ‘…Row-Free.’

    ***
    MOST LAUDABLE:

Clearly, the public-announced decision by this ‘…PRIME MINISTER,’ is ‘…MOST LAUDABLE.’

    ***
Thus, when this regional Leader, ‘…KEITH ROWLEY,’ decides to demit office, it suggests nothing, but a …MAN OF REPUTATIONAL PRINCIPLE.’

    ***

So many others appear not to know when to give-up.

Even as some continue to ‘…Uncontrollably Drool and Exploitably Fool,’ not for hell, will they consider such relinquishment.

    SELF-PRINCIPLED LEADER

Here’s wishing this apparent ‘…SELF-PRINCIPLED CARICOM LEADER,’ well, in whatever might be his future endeavor.
