Dear Editor,

Thank you very much!!
Little Miss Chantel
By: Phylicia Eleanor Joseph
Oh what a joy you were,
Little girl!
To your mommy and daddy,
You WERE the whole world.
On your day of birth,
You were loved and accepted,
You never knew rejection;
Dark skinned, sun kissed, gorgeous princess,
Your little spirit must know,
That you were the best, in the WEST Indies.
Baby girl Chantel?
I want you to know,
Your name is now known across these deep blue seas.
You were a joy to be around,
Your smiles and laughter,
Brought us joy and equal laughter resounding.
Your were articulate and brilliant,
A smart Caribbean black girl.
Your teachers loved you.
The way you were taken will surely leave them blue.
Blue like the skies,
On the day you were taken from our lives.
We searched and fretted for you,
We prayed and met with each other for you.
In solidarity we clamored together in your name,
Your soul must know you are now exuding with fame.
Your innocence will always protected!
By this nation of people,
You will never be rejected.
We will love you into the next existence,
We will stand with your parents in love and offer them assistance with their pain.
There is no balm to soothe,
A child stolen and crudely removed,
From our lives, Unfairly!
We promise to fight daily,
Until real justice is served.
It is in our best interest to preserve,
All of your rights!
Your right to life,
Your rights to dreams unfounded,
And love abounded.
Your right to grow, your right to flourish and become,
The great Dancer or the holiest nun.
A politician,
A Farmer,
A Police Woman who Carries a big gun?
Your right to become is what will fight for and replace with,
A deep rememberance of who you were little girl.
Your are now Antigua and Barbuda’s whole world.
And will always be.

So much talk of her missing body parts. Is this true or not ????
Police stop hiding stuff, and tell the public the truth..
We are waiting!
We’re not stupid..
The more you hide.
The more we gonna see.
Ne forewarned!
Chantel I did not know you, but you are in my prayer they take you away life, before you can become what God has meant for you to become ,they take your life but God is good Justice will prevail, sleep in peace baby girl God will watch over you, you will be missed by all your friends and family teachers and especially your parents.
Chantel I miss you although I never met you in person. Today I am in grief as if you are bones of my bones and blood of my blood. I do have a granddaughter and today when I hugged her I hugged the both of you. My life will never be the same again.
In Antigua we once knew our neighbors. Our parents sent us next door to borrow salt , butter, matches and even fire to catch ours.
Today we aim to build an economic powerhouse and lost our love, our morality, lost what it is be be an Antiguan.
I guess you are the youngest person ever murdered in Antigua. Today Antigua mourns for you , with the love we shared when we were poor and caring. There was no political or religious divide. There were no rich or poor or light skin or black skin. In fact for once the black skin picky head girl was more outstanding. I wish we could turn back the hands of time. However in remembering you I will live my life like an Antiguan of old. I will share all that I have and all that I am. Especially with my black, picky headed family. As the Trinidadian would say- All A We IS ONE FAMILY. I make sure that I meet your Father, Mother, Sister and Family members.
We aren’t serious We really aren’t Where are the tributes to msChristian and Passo. A burnt out car is plenty evidence to suggest Passao is no more.
By next weekend I hope the outcry for justice Ms Crump continues or intensifies.
Month after month, the leaders of this country ignored the previous outcries.
Justice for Chantel should start with getting rid of the leaders of this country!!!!
@Grabber, the buffoon PM and his corrupt administration is responsible for the death of Chantel. We have a broken police and immigration services which is headed by an incompetent AG.
Our immigration services need tighten up, Antigua is full of immigrants who believed they can come to Antihua , do as they like , say as they like. E.g. Olabanjo, who works for the ministry of Argiculture had the cheek to come on the air waves and say “Antigua is under populated and we brought them to improve Antigua’s population ” Olabanjo further declared that he is a “tight friend of the PM” these comments came about during the crisis that caused embarrassment to Antigua on a monumental level during Gaston’s asylum seekers fiasco.
Here we are, a national was brutally murdered on our shores by a non national and the PM’s administration fail to confirm to the nation that the murder will faced the death penalty. Instead Cutie in his announcement stated that Chantel entered the kidnappers car “voluntarily “. The AG has already indicated to the nation that justice for Chantel ‘s death will be a long process, which might eventually get lost within bureaucratic red tapes.
The AG should make recommendations to ensure that Chantel’s murder receive nothing less than the death penalty, and to further ordered the removal of all Haitians, Santa Domingans, Nigerians, Jamacians from our shores.
These categories of people have brought nothing more than darkness and sadness to our shores. It is time they were shown the doors.
