CLEAN SWEEP

Hon. Trevor Walker Said– The people of Barbuda have spoken loud and clear! BPM remains victorious, winning ALL 5 seats in the 2025 Barbuda Council Elections. Once again, Barbudans have demonstrated that the Antigua Labour Party has no place here! We WILL keep and redeem what is rightfully ours. We stand unified and will continue the fight with more resolve than ever.
Congratulations to our BPM 5 — Nico Antonio, Melanie Beazer, Wayde Burton, Jackie Frank, and Nadia George. We have work to do!
A heartfelt THANK YOU to the people of Barbuda for your unwavering support. We are still standing BARBUDA STRONG! May God continue to bless us all.

To quote Trevor Walker in addressing Barbudans:
“…and seem to be on a protracted path of
-GAMBLING
-IDLENESS
-SEXUAL PROMISCUITY
-DRUG ABUSE
-ALCOHOL ABUSE
-BADMINDED-NESS
-COVETUOUS-NESS
-SELFISHNESS
-UNPRODUCTIVITY. People don’t want to work
-DECEITFULNESS
-People badminded and just covet other people
-LACK OF RESPECT FOR OTHERS
-LACK OF RESPECT FOR THOSE IN AUTHORITY
Council say work til 4 o’clock or 5 o’clock. You warn go home 10 o’clock
-LAZINESS
-THE LOVE FOR MONEY
-GREEDINESS
And the last one which I find is the most profound for me:
-OUR TURNING AWAY FROM GODLY THINGS”.
~Member of Parliament Trevor Walker
Oh go to hell, Trevor, with your tribe of barbarians. History will, in time, redeem the efforts of the Hon. PM. In the meantime, he needs to stop wasting time, effort and resources on/in Barbuda. Leave them to their slow witted turtles and crabs, their sheep, goats and asses , beer and rum. We can develop our own fisheries and supply our own fish and lobster. No point flogging a dead ass!
Antigua needs to advance to the next level without bloodsuckers holding us back! Forward ever, backwards never!
So Trevor is happy that the Status Quo remains. That doesn’t reverse the Privy Council decision. The land in Barbuda remain vested in the Crown. Which means in control of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and not the Council.Where is the victory in that. Yes the Council will continue to be distructive against development as presented by the ABLP government. However they have no authority to stop the progress. And since when can a tennant tell the Landlord what to do with his property. Especially a tenant that has not been paying his rent for decades. Barbudans are more then lucky to be offered land ownership for $1.00. Don’t know why the Prime Minister could be that generous to one class of nationals. That is a very discriminating policy. But one thing the ZPM was right about. And that was to not contest any elections in Barbuda. It only damages the ABLP brand. And I think the PM should start holding the council accountable for the millions of tax dollars they collect on behalf of the Treasury. They have gone rogue. They are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars taking the very same government to court. Using the very same government tax dollars. These monies could be spend for the development of the Island. And the sad thing is they are losing every legal challenge. The Council is just another arm of government. Not a seperate government. And the AG need to start looking at this from a constitutional issue. Can any other branch of government sue another branch of government? I’m not a legal luminary but my common sense tell me somehting is wrong in this system of government of a Unitary State. There is only one government and that is the Antigua and Barbuda Government with one Prime Minister and one Governor General and one Chief of Police and one Head of the Defence Force. None of them are falling under the authority of the council.
The Land-grabbin’ Money-Hawk is wounded right now, his will to fight diminished. There’s a larger force that has confronted him and he has no place to hide. We are tired of hearing all the desperate speeches now. When this is over, he will be exposed as the single biggest thief in the history of our country. He’s a real kleptomaniac and taking his family with him. When the bell gongs, let’s see who sticks with him. When he’s gone, the UPP dissidents will take control of the Party.
I never heard that the Council was against development. Gaston wants to do his thing in Barbada and ignore the Council because he has no respect for them just as he has no respect for anyone in Antigua unless you agree with him, this is suppose to be a democracy
@Born & Bred Antiguan March 27, 2025 At 1:34 pm
And since you confirm that this is a democracy you must also know that in a democracy the majority rules. And since Gaston Browne is the Prime Minister he represents the majority of the voters of the voters and of the parliament of this twin Islands State. And I don’t know that the council is an equal branch of our system of government. They are subordinate to the cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda. I know they act like rogue individuals, and that should be stopped. There should be clear line set where their authority begins and where it ends. That line has been blurred for much too long. The PM should not be afraid for some unrest from those that defy his authority. Papa Bird don’t buckle under pressure of the teacher’s strike either. Bruce Goodwin told Baldwin Spencer he should rule with a d iron fist and don’t be softy softy. I would want to tell the PM the same. The council was never meant to be a fourth branch of government. It was to decentralize central government by creating a sub-department. Accountable to the Central Government. I trust one day we will get rid of the little kingdom that the BPM has created. Barbuda has only ONE elected representative in our parliament. And is considered a constituency. Of which there are seventeen. Its like the ship is Antigua and Barbuda is the dingy of that ship. But the dingy want to sail its own way.
A referendum on Gaston is the message that is being sent by the Barbudans.
Is it a fact, that the Barbudans took the bribes and still vote against Gaston Labour Party?
The message is loud and clear Gaston and Labour are not welcomed in Barbuda.
Only Gaston knows why he is so concern and determined to develop Barbuda. Why not let the people live in their myth and live like squatters and like beggars without jobs. Let them feel the hardship they are accustomed to. They were very content with what they had. A job as a cleaner by the council and fishing. Non of them used to work more then 2 hours a day. They come to work at 10:00AM and by 12:00 they went for lunch never to return until the next day.
@ Less We Forget: We became an independent country, but to this day I have a feeling Barbudans still have the illusion that the Brits are still fully in charge, especially those old, don’t want to change, live most of their lives in the the UK, speaking like they are British born and failed to recognized an elected government.
They need water, power, gas, oil, health service, imports, travel and even the same police they bitch about, not forgetting they must run to this same government for money.
Yes leave them to live in their myth seems like the way to go, but let another hurricane strike and see what happen.
Gordon and Willie grew up in Wadadli and spend time in the UK, don’t know where they are right now, but would have really like know how they feel about this Barbuda situation in 2025 years after the passing of their iconic, well loved across the board dad.
The Barbuda Council iz a Corporate Enyity that can sue and be sued , in the name of The Barbuda Council
@Carvaa at el,
Obviously most of you are not aware of the contents and operative clauses of Antigua and Barbuda Constitution.
When you cuss Trevor Walker you armed cussing a Traitor who is in the pocket of Gaston and Associates.
Take the time to read the Barbuda Local Government Act for its part if the Constitution.
The ABLP is attempting to circumvent The Antigua and Barbuda Constitution with propaganda knowing you are notca people who reads and understand such s document and it’s proper and legal applications.
Call Trevor Walker all the derogatory names you wish, for he is a snake working with Gaston and his people. Hoping it will come to the public attention soon.
