Barbuda MP Trevor Walker Urges Voter Preparedness Ahead of March 26 Election

BARBUDA – As Barbuda approaches its biennial election on March 26, 2025, MP Trevor Walker has issued a strong call to voters, urging them to ensure they have valid voter identification cards ahead of the crucial polls.

Walker, representing The Barbuda People’s Movement (BPM), emphasized the significance of the upcoming election, warning against the risk of placing Barbuda’s future in what he described as “callous hands.”

“We are headed into a crucial season here in Barbuda, as our local biennial election is right upon us—set for March 26th, 2025,” Walker stated. “I strongly urge registered persons to replace their expired voter identification cards well in advance of the upcoming election.”

Declaring that Barbudans must take charge of their future, he stressed the importance of “informed and responsible progress,” which he called “the Barbudan way.”

Walker positioned the BPM as the party committed to safeguarding Barbuda’s land and heritage for future generations.

“A vote for The Barbuda People’s Movement is a vote for preservation of our land and birthright for our children and grandchildren. The future of Barbuda depends on us,” he said.

The upcoming election is expected to shape the leadership of the Barbuda Council, a body that plays a key role in the island’s governance. With tensions over land rights and development being central issues in past elections, the contest is likely to be closely watched.

Barbudans eligible to vote are encouraged to check the status of their voter identification cards and renew them in advance to ensure a smooth voting process on election day.

  1. Walker’s leadership has been strong, but he needs to show a clear plan for Barbuda’s future beyond just rallying support.

    • To quote Trevor Walker in addressing Barbudans:

“…and seem to be on a protracted path of

  2. BARBUDANS KEEP THE VAMPIRES OUT DO NOT VOTE FOR THE TRAITORS WHO WANT TO MAKE YOU THE MINORITY IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY. THAT IS THE PLAN!

    • Barbudans do not have a “own country”. Barbuda forms part of the SOVEREIGN NATION of Antigua-Barbuda-Redonda! Barbuda is merely a constituency (1 seat in Parliament). Stop spreading lies, misinformation and propaganda!!!!

  3. Trevor Walker is the ultimate hypocrite. Opposing PLH and jobs for the people. Now raking in money by exclusively selling PLH fuel.

The BPM controlled Barbuda council needs to be shaken up. Barbudans are kept completely in the dark about the council spending and other matters under the current arrangement, just as Trevor want’s it.

Right now the Barbuda People are being fought down and bamboozled by the BPM minority of self obsessed serial saboteurs.

Eyes are opening to Trevor and BPM’s game. Their panic and desperation is quite obvious now.
