We are deeply saddened by the untimely loss of one of Barbuda’s greatest stalwarts, Mr. Atkinson Beazer, who passed away yesterday.
A dedicated member of the Barbuda Peoples Movement, he was not only a friend and colleague but also a source of wise counsel, proudly championing the rights of Barbuda.
His political legacy will be cherished. He stood firm on principles while representing the Barbuda Council in the Upper House of Parliament and envisioned a sustainable future for our island. He was a passionate advocate for youth development, emphasizing support from locally generated funds of the Council.
The cherished memories of Attie will forever remain in our hearts here in Barbuda. He was an important figure, a patriot, a devoted family man, a believer in God, and held in high regard within our community.
On behalf of my family and the Barbuda Peoples Movement, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his dear wife, family and friends. May the soul of Atkinson Edison Beazer rest in eternal peace. 🙏
