The Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment, in partnership with dedicated corporate citizens, today successfully executed its Tourism Week 2025 Charity Day activities.

This year’s initiative was guided by the theme Our People, Our Culture, Our Environment in Full Thrive, underscoring the Ministry’s continued commitment to holistic national development.

The day’s activities once again reinforced that tourism in Antigua and Barbuda is not only an economic driver but also a powerful catalyst for social upliftment and community wellbeing.

As part of this year’s outreach, Minister of Tourism, the Honourable Charles Fernandez and his team visited and donated essential items to The Adele School, Clarevue Psychiatric Hospital, The Fiennes Institute, and The Care Project providing meaningful assistance to some of the nation’s most vulnerable groups.

The success of the Charity Day was made possible through the invaluable support of key corporate partners, including Mega Distributors, Epicurean Fine Foods, Christo’s, Frank B. Armstrong, Hutchinson Antigua Ltd., A.S. Brydens, Cool & Smooth, and Anjo Wholesale.

The Ministry extends heartfelt gratitude to all corporate partners whose contributions made the Charity Day possible. Their generous donations and continued support reflect the strong spirit of corporate citizenship that strengthens communities across Antigua and Barbuda and ensures that Tourism Week remains impactful in every sense.

Minister of Tourism, Honourable Charles Fernandez, praised the collaborative effort and emphasized that Tourism Week is not just a celebration of our industry, but it reflects our commitment to uplift our people and strengthen our communities.

“Under this year’s theme, Our People, Our Culture, Our Environment in Full Thrive, today’s Charity Day reminds us that when we invest in one another, we build a stronger and more compassionate Antigua and Barbuda.”

Activities for Tourism Week 2025 continue tomorrow with the Tourism Week Health Fair at the House of Culture lawn from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and take advantage of complimentary health checks, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol screenings. Later in the day, the Ministry invites everyone to join the Sweat Tourism Week Edition at the YMCA from 5:00 p.m., featuring Dancer Boy Shan and Fit with Ceejay; a fun and energetic session promoting wellness, movement, and community spirit.
