Tourism officials say this country is once again being regarded as the region’s most impressive concentration of all-inclusive Caribbean properties.
During the Antigua and Barbuda destination briefing at Monday’s State of the Industry Conference in Nassau, Bahamas, it was announced that leading all-inclusive hotel chain, the Elite Island Resorts, will soon open their adults-only boutique style luxury five-star property.
The all-inclusive boutique hotel which was announced last year will be the fifth property on the island for Elite Island Resorts, whose portfolio already includes Galley Bay, the St James’s Club, the Verandah Resort and the Pineapple Beach Club.
The new luxury property which will be called Hammock Cove is slated to be opened by mid-2019 on the eastern coast of Antigua next door to the Verandah Resort & Spa. The 40-room property will comprise of private plunge pools, full bar, hanging hammocks and state-of-the-art amenities and technology.
In an effort to become the new all-inclusive capital of the Caribbean, Antigua and Barbuda will also see Canadian brand luxury hotel Royalton, which offers discerning travelers a family-friendly vacation experience; opening its doors to guests in February 2019.
