Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez vehemently denies allegations that his wife, Jill, has been freeloading at various restaurants during Restaurant Week without paying for her meals.
A talk show host claimed that Jill has been enjoying free meals with friends and family, but Charles defends her, stating that she paid for all her meals while promoting the event.
He encourages residents to support local restaurants during Restaurant Week, showcasing the best culinary offerings from casual spots to fine dining, featuring local and celebrity chefs.

Is this supposed to be a topic of interest. Why do we have this behaviour towards each other. This is why as a society we do not grow. Everything has to have a negative connotation to it. It’s truly disgusting. Let’s be constructive and put some work into ourselves instead of just bitching about every fly that fly. Annoyed now man!
What kinda of shuddy half baked reporting is this? I swear a six year old child could be a way better job than this mess. Is this what we call journalism now in Antigua. SMH this is really pitiful and clearly a clickbait headline used to get internet traffic and comments.
The talk show host should be sued or called out for defamation of slander and this medium for libel. People’s characters are at stake for political expediency way to frivolously. Gosh man! Stop it!
@Dave Ray
Since when Antiguan politicians pay for anything. You seem to be a want a be and don’t know them well.
Great to see the Minister does have a voice… I agree that this is hardly newsworthy ….. let’s hear his voice in regards to the African saga….
Absolutely correct @ Nomis. Antiguans have been calling out for Max Fernández to tell us what and how this airline collaboration has turned out to be disaster for the country; and all we got was silence.
Yet, when your spouse is accused of being a freeloader, you ah chat like a parakeet 🦜 … mi glad when you gone!
How did we end up with this rabble?
