However, I hope this is just the beginning of a long-term partnership that includes consistent support for our defense force, rather than just one-off donations. Continuous contributions and ensuring that supplies are up to date with the needs of the force will have a more lasting impact.
I believe that it’s important to also acknowledge the government’s role in providing the necessary funding and supplies for our defense forces. Private donations are wonderful, but the government should ensure that the military and medical stations have all the resources they need on a continuous basis, not just rely on external help.
