  1. Are tornadoes a regular phenomenon in Antigua and Barbuda or are they a part of the new changing trend? In all my years I cannot remember hearing tornado warning in our neck of the woods outside the regular hurricane feature and events.

  2. This advisory is full of hot air. We are not accustom to have tornadoes unless it’s over the sea. If such warnings are given why aren’t the authorities more detailed about such storm and announce proper places of safety? In their bulletin we are only hearing be prepared and the tornado can the lost of life & damages to properties

  3. What the region is accustomed to hearing about are #waterspouts; and, while these can create some danger(s) at sea where they occur, once they make landfall, they’ll [die] quickly for the most part.

As to whether, weather systems such as tornadoes occur in the Caribbean, yes! Yes, because hurricanes and other tropical storm systems do produce tornadoes.
While, there are no hurricanes in the immediate vicinity, weather conditions are such that, cyclones can develop; and, while a tornado is not necessarily a cyclone it’s a version of it.

Regardless, as to the cause(s) for the alerts, and yes, we all know, that the WEATHER FORECASTER is the only profession, that 🙃gets well paid to be wrong at times! Yet? When they get it right as with most hurricanes these days. It’s better, to be safe, than sorry.

In the case of no basement, you’ll need to find the innermost hallway and stand under the doorframe(remember to open the door).

  4. I do believe we had one in Bendals some years back. I think they claimed if a waterspout gets to land the name changes to tornado.

  5. Not even the damage from a tornado can compare to the destruction done to the UPP by the “CHAOS DEMON” as Damani Tabor calls her. The Man Cow Lipstick Hag is from the pit of hell!!!

  6. What we have is waterspouts out in the sea and tornadoes inside of hurricanes. Never been anything more. Perhaps the met office is trying to remind us that they exist…
