Top Performers Honored at Police and Fire Training Graduation

The Police Training Academy marked a momentous occasion today as outstanding recruits from Course 49 were recognized for their exceptional achievements.

The ceremony, held in the presence of dignitaries, family, and friends, celebrated the hard work and dedication of recruits who excelled in various disciplines.

The coveted special awards highlighted the recruits’ exemplary performance across key areas of training:

Constable Calvin Donaldson Jr., who was named valedictorian, captivated the audience with an inspiring and humorous speech. Reflecting on the rigorous training, he highlighted the transformative journey of Course 49.

“We entered uncertain and emerged resilient,” he said. His remarks, infused with camaraderie and optimism, underscored the spirit of teamwork and determination that defined the cohort.

Donaldson Jr.’s address also paid tribute to the instructors, cooks, and support staff, whose relentless efforts guided the recruits through months of grueling preparation.
