Antiguans are generally good at giving speeches, particularly in the political arena. Where we fall short is at collaboration with others to solve problems and taking decisive and useful actions to advance the society. Would like to see more young people participate in actual problem-solving competitions not just the innovative one such as robotics etc but just plain simple tasks e.g. design a solution in your community for… creating a green space, solving water problems, a useful business, an afterschool programme that teaches skills, a media business showcasing underrepresented local talent, using local plants to create new products, activities to engage the youth to combat violence and crime, an investment club that helps to fund sm etc. etc. etc.
