Three new cases of COVID-19 in Antigua

The most recent reports received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John’s Medical Center (MSJMC) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) have revealed three new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Tuesday 15th December 2020 at 6pm.

All forty samples processed by MSJMC yielded negative results and are reflected in the total tested and total samples taken columns of the dashboard.

Of the thirty-two samples processed by CARPHA, twenty-nine were negative and three positive. Two of the cases are imported and one non-imported.

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one hundred and fifty-one (151); which is inclusive of five (5) active cases.

Meanwhile, three recovered cases have been recorded bringing that total to one hundred and forty-one.  In addition, ninety-one samples are pending for MSJMC.

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

    • That’s a good thing. I have a friend in the US who got COVID in May. She’s recovered by still has lasting side effects to this day. I’m not even sure if she can even say she’s recovered.

    • @ When there’s a new case…Why you don’t go and contract it and hope the strain you get is with you forever?

  2. Idiots, 95% of COVID patients recover fully! Look at the stats. I have many friends who had it in the US with no side effects

    • You’re going to use the U.S. with over 300,000 dead in less than 1 year as a shining example of COVID and how it’s not that bad?

      • 300,000 dead in US is a fake news number
        That number includes people, for example, who died in motorcycle accidents and that their fake PCR ‘test’ said they have died with covid too, so they labeled it a covid death.
        With that kind of manipulation of the numbers they attempt to artificially inflate the death numbers. It’s all a sham to deceive the ignorant!
