Three men to be sentenced for killing “Watches”

Three men admitted to playing a part in the killing of Sea View Farm resident, Shane “ Watches” James who was stabbed to death on May 7, 2015.

When the indictment was put before them in the High Court Ryan “Chargie” Samuels of Liberta pleaded guilty to murder while his accomplices, Dane “Blinga” Hart of Sea View Farm and Lenroy “Ramone” Black of New Street admitted to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

The men reportedly alighted from a vehicle and began stabbing the James, who awaiting a bus outside a village shop around 2:00 pm.

Reports indicated the victim, who was a chef by profession, was in the company of his mother and another relative at the time of the attack.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

The defendants will learn their fate later this month when they return to court for sentencing.

      Sure you would realize now that while the three accused had snuffed out the life of ‘…Watches,’ there are people on this page who might be trying to ‘…Snatch’ your name.

      Know you would not be able to do without both.

      You may let them have only one.

      Decide whether you wish to rid yourself of ‘…Duncy’ or Bat.’

      It is ‘…None of My Business’ what you do, but wherever the word ‘Business’ appear he is deserving of both.

      What would you now call yourself?

    • The article did not mentioned the accused nationality. These news article need to start mentioned people nationality. Sometime students do statistics research on non-national compare to national crime rates. It is hard for anyone to research past and present news article to get these type of information. The Statistics Department if full of crap when it comes to data.

  8. They need to bring back hangings to Antigua, the economy is based on tourism and murder on a small island hurts everyone on the island. To stab the up this young man in front of his mother and family member, these murderous hooligans should meet the hangman! Imagine the mother’s grief, pain and suffering. Think of how she must see this in her head and dreams again and again. Hangings will make other criminals rethink their actions and help bring Antigua back to the peaceful place it once was.

    • Oh wow this is harsh for some1 to say who does know the true story hanging wow that guy didn’t deserve to die n his mother didn’t need to witnesses that but it’s 2 side to a story n dead man cannot tell no tales but 1 of these 3 could have been your brother would u want to see them get hang they plead guilty so I guess they know they have done wrong so to me hanging is not the key

    • I totally agree with you ‘hang them’ …cold blooded murderers…it will send a strong message !! I am thinking of MALAYSIA a country where people are getting hanged for …cannabis !!! Results: zero weed zero Malay smokers ???? This might seem HORRIBLE to some: but I think that the hanging of a criminal proven guilty to a murder charge SHOULD and need to be PUBLIC ! SEEING IS BELIEVING …..IT IS ALSO FEARING ….the horrible end of a guilty man as a SURE reward !! no more exported murderers or hit man !
