Three in Custody on Suspicion of Robbery

Three people are held in police custody for questioning on suspicion of robbery.

On Sunday, members of the Criminal Investigations Department Task Force, K-9 Unit, and other departments executed several search warrants across the island and detained three people from the Nut Grove, Golden Grove, and Cashew Hill area.

They are currently assisting the police with their ongoing investigations.

Meanwhile, three men were arrested and charged for cannabis on the weekend.


Derol Thomas of Villa and Kareem Gardner of St. Johnston Village were jointly charged with Unlawful Possession of 3.2lbs of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with the Intent to Transfer, and Being Concerned with the Supplying of Cannabis.

Also, Julian King of Liberta was jointly charged with Kareem Gardener with unlawful possession of 128 grams Cannabis.


On Friday, the police executed a search warrant on a property occupied by Kareem Gardener and found the controlled substance.

He, along with those present were arrested and taken into custody.

They are expected in court today.

  1. Their swift response highlights the importance of effective law enforcement in maintaining public safety. However, I do wonder if there are sufficient resources being allocated to prevent these types of crimes from happening in the first place. While arrests are necessary, addressing the root causes of crime should also be a priority to ensure long-term safety in the community.

  2. Kudos to the police for their diligent work in apprehending the suspects so quickly. It’s important that criminals are held accountable for their actions, and this shows a strong commitment to keeping the streets safe. That being said, I do hope the investigation doesn’t end with just these arrests. It’s crucial that we ensure proper follow-up, gather enough evidence, and explore all possible leads to prevent future incidents. We need a system that both punishes and prevents crime.
