The Antigua Barbuda Defence Force has embarked on a season of giving to “pay it forward (PIF)” for the continued success of the ABDF Farms Project, and also the continued support received from local and international benefactors.

The PIF initiative is the ABDF way of expressing gratitude for the success and support received from the nation and to bring the seasonal cheer of the Christmas Season.

The PIF is a concept of giving to others in gratitude for having received kindness from others.

The ABDF Farms project continues to show growth and development with new harvests yielding increasing quantities each harvest.

In the husbandry department, the pig farm yielded great returns; with the latest being over 300 pounds of meat collected from a recent slaughter.

In keeping with his early promise to make continuous donations to various charity and civil organisations to aid in food security for the nation, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), Col Telbert Benjamin donated over 150 pounds of meat to Clarevue Psychiatric Hospital, Feinnes Institute, and The Soup Kitchen.

After receiving substantial quantities of water from HMS ARGUS, a British Royal Navy Warship which recently visited the island, the initiative was activated and large quantities of water were also distributed to the aforementioned institutes, also to other civic and church groups.
