Don’t blame the government for crime. We have a breakdown in the family and community structure. Put the blame where it rightly belongs – at the feet of the absent parents. Father’s deliver the sperms and disappear. The poor mothers are at work. The kids grow up with no love, no guidance, no discipline. The village no longer brings up the child as in days gone by. Today we hardly, if at all, know our neighbours. Then when the kids do crime, we blame teachers and government. Time for parents to take responsibility.
