SOURCE: ANTIGUA OBSERVER- Hailie Imannie left her home around 1:40pm on June 17th without permission, telling her mother she was going to visit a friend in Liberta.

However she failed to return home.
Her mother subsequently reported her missing to the Johnson’s Point Police Station.
Hailie, a second-form student at St Mary’s School of Excellence, was last seen wearing a blue blouse and black short pants. She is slimly built, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a fair complexion.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Frankie Thomas revealed that officers spotted the teen in the Jennings Extension area on Sunday, June 22nd, at approximately 5:15pm.
“She is believed to be hanging out in that area, and the police continue to appeal to her to return home,” ASP Thomas said. “We have a situation where she has refused to return home. All that is being investigated.”
The officer, who is leading the investigation, conducted interviews with the mother and several other individuals and obtained various pieces of information.
Formal statements have been taken from the mother as part of their ongoing investigation and searches have been carried out across Johnson’s Point, Bolans, and Jennings areas, though these efforts have so far not located the girl.
Hailie’s mother, who confirmed that she does not know her daughter’s current whereabouts, expressed deep concern for her safety and welfare.
Police are urging anyone with information about Hailie Imannie’s whereabouts to contact the Johnson’s Point Police station.

Investigate the home this girl came out from, her guardians especially.
Why would a 2nd form girl just don’t want to return home ?
Something is seriously wrong in that home.
And for the record, parents need to do their God given responsibility and be parents to their children.
No wonder some run away or go man house and don’t want to go back home, cause home is worse.
Many parents wait until the child is old then want to beat them and in public too, such should be sentenced to 10 bull bud lashes across dem back in public on carnival morning to commence to proceedings.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
ANR… you’re behind in the news. According to the Antigua Observer today, she has been found safe.
This child is a missing runaway child. That much seems to have been established.
Even so, she should report to the police station, make her whereabouts be known to them. They, the police, should continue to carry out their investigations.
The general public, in the Jennings Extension area should keep an extra eye out for her. We do not know the circumstances and should not jump to conclusions. Her safety is of prime importance, her family’s comfort is also of prime importance. These are delicate matters.
I pray the young girl is safe, first and foremost, and that whatever the reason is that she does not want to return home that can be fixed and her family can heal from this fracture.
May God continue to guide us all.
The fact still remains that many parents and guardians are way too slack and needs a wake up call.
Nobody is accusing anyone of anything.
The majority of parents are doing a pretty messed up job at raising their children.
There are reasons why children run away, don’t want to return home, we can’t just say she needs to return home and expect all will be okay, investigations must be carried out in a timely and thorough manner.
I want to believe all these runaways have an aunt, uncle or cousin, so why we never heard of them going or reporting to these relatives for assistance, comfort and advice, instead of just roaming the streets?
There is nothing wrong this the child’s home cause I know the child in question personally since she was 3yrs old up until now, when a child is well fed, clothed and gets everything she wants from her parents and family, and eventually gets older, and starts following bad company at school, they eventually give in and do as their friends do despite having everything they want at home, and from the family.
Thank goodness she safe now. That’s the best news we could hear!
Johnson’s Point people must be breathing easy now.
Where did they find her?
A reminder to stay vigilant and watch out for each other.
Am happy she was found
Investigate, prosecute and fine who needs to be.
If the teenager is at fault, then send her ass to a halfway home for at least a year. By the way is there a similar facility for girls on the Island like the old Boys Training School, now renamed BOWERS something?
If the parents are at fault fine them accordingly, to the new regulations recently passed regarding the curfew!
